Weekends in Finland, Late September 2006

That was the last warm days in Autumn... Sharp colors of nature going to sleep in winter, beautiful Finnish lakes in Karelia and very good mood of Russian guys travelling and having rest in cottage in Finland.
I like this extremely silent countryside in Finland with it's friendly inhabitants.

Dima's Wedding, 2006_06_09

My best Friend's wedding took place on the June, 9th.
Dima Vasiliev and Yulia Andreeva became husband and wife.
This Beautiful Young pair celebrated the birth of their family in the small town Borovichi, where Dima and I were born.
The process of wedding was so exiting and full of sharp events. A lot of smiles and fun stories were here.
Broken cars, nice countryside, great weather, happy newly married couple and their parents and relatives, and, of course, fashion-plate Beautiful Girls!
We'll remember this cool event for ages.
Have a happy family life, Yulia and Dima!

Leuven, Belgium, 2006_04_03

Leuven was the last city in our tour program. We have decided to go there on the railway station in Brussels according to the tourist guide that was with us everywhere. It was about half past 3 pm when we depart from the Brussels. But Leuven is about 20 km far from Brussels, so we arrived there in about 15 minutes.
It's a city of students and universities first of all. But this is not the main sight of the city. There were a lot of nice gothiс cathedrals and chappels. And old Madonna with her child looking on the city from the rocks.
The lasrgest Stella Artois factory is located in Leuven also.

Gent, Belgium, 2006_04_02

Pretty nice city Gent is famous for it's fortress and cathedral.
It's a compact city with a lot of places os interest.
We have been there on our back way to Namur from the Ostende.



 

Brussels, 2006_03_27

Brussels is the city of glass skyscrappers and modern building.
... and a small manneken pis :)



 

Antwerp, 2006_03_28

The second large city we have been to in Belgium was Antwerp.
It is the most beautiful city that we have seen in Belgium. May be because we had very long pretty and thriling walk in it.
We have arrived there at about 12 PM and deperted from Antwerp Central at the late evening.
There are a lot of beutiful Flamish buildings with their stairs-like roofs.
Lots of parks and green meadows right in the center of the city.
The weather was also very specific there. Almost all the day is was sunny, but there was about 3 rainfalls during the day 20 minutes for each of them.
These rainfalls were real quick and causes quick sky color changing :)

Ostende, 2006_03_31

Ostende is at the north-west coast of the North Sea in Belgium.
We were there in early spring, but it was about 15 degrees warm and clear blue sky and warm sun.
This is great place to have a rest in Summer. People from all over the Belgium, Germany and France come to Ostende to spend their vacations here.
There were hundreds of people in the streets at the nighttime that is nonsence for the rest Belgium and all the Europe.

Luxemburg, 2006_03_30

We have spent one day were. Old city is worth visiting, but the new bank district is not so exiting.




 

Belgium Trip Described

Hey,

This spring my friends and I were in Belgium.
We have travelled all over the country, we've visited almost all well-known cities and towns in Belgium.
We have been to:

• Brussels
• Antwerp
• Dinant
• Gent
• Ostende
• Namur
• Leven
• Knokke-Heist

Also, we have spent a day in Luxemburg.

... and a night at Netherland's small town or village right in the border with Belgium. We don't know the name of this vilage... It's about 10 kilometers far from Knokke-Heist.

So, it was really very nice journey that will be in our minds for a long long time...
